Skyler Wheeler is the State Representative for Iowa House District 4. Skyler won with nearly 63 percent of the vote on November 8, 2016.

A Republican, Skyler was born in Centralia, Washington and graduated from Napavine High School in Washington. He then attended Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen, Washington, graduating with his Associates Degree.

Skyler came to Northwest Iowa on a baseball scholarship to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. Skyler graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Political Science. He has worked off-and-on for a masters degree in American Governmen from Regent University. Skyler hopes to finish his masters degree in the next few years.

Skyler’s work ethic is unquestionable. He has worked since he was 15 years old, holding nine different jobs over eight years, including a month-long stint where he held three at the same time. As one of 10 children of his parents Marcus and Dana, Skyler had to work to earn everything he received growing up, and believes he is better off for it!

Skyler and Jess currently reside in Orange City. They love Northwest Iowa and are excited to have the opportunity to represent the great people of House District 4 in Des Moines!
